A piece of Mesquite with a segmented feature ring and a segmented base. The Mesquite portion has spots of mineral inlay and an inclusion that was accented with Mother-of-Pearl flakes giving it a geode effect. The feature ring is 98 pieces of precision cut segments that are tightly and solidly joined. The feature ring woods are Yellowheart, Wenge and Maple. The base is Wenge with a section of segmented Wenge and Yellowheart. Finished with a combination of oil penetrant and urethane. Signed and dated on the bottom. 13” tall on the base, 6” wide.
